Selena Gomez in Future Wizards of Waverly Place

BSCKids has some fresh news for Selena Gomez fanboys and fangirls. The Disney channel favorite, Wizards of Waverly Place, where Gomez stars, is currently shooting its final season. Ever wondered what the future would look like for her character? Well, sources suggest series writers will actually take the show past Alex’s graduation. In fact, the next episode to air will feature Alex and Harper as they strike our on their own, moving into an apartment and struggling to pay rent. Yuck!

How will the youngsters make ends meet? Puppets may be the answer and that’s why the episode is called “Alex the Puppetmaster.” That one is coming September 16th. McKaley Miller and Dan Benson will guest star.

What do think about Disney’s choice to keep the show running beyond graduation? As far as we know, this is still the end of the series, and that second film has still been scrapped, but do enjoy today’s clip anyway! The show is nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards. One is for “Outstanding Children’s Program” and the other is for “Outstanding Cinematography For A Multi-camera Series”. Gomez just won “Choice TV Actress: Comedy” at the Teen Choice Awards and “Favorite TV Actress” at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
