A Castle Wants in on GAME OF THRONES

Tamala Jones Castle ABC HBO Game of Thrones

Is there anybody working in Hollywood that doesn’t want a part on HBO’s Game of Thrones? You can bet good money that Castle’s Tamala Jones isn’t a part of that crowd because she’s not shy about sharing her passion for the hit series.

Jones, who plays Medical Examiner Lanie Parish on ABC’s Castle, recently spoke with Ology.com about Castle, Beckett, and a few other new and old faces on the ABC hit, but it can’t all be about work so Jones took the opportunity to talk about her Thrones passion when she was asked about the HBO phenomenon.

How big a fan is Jones? Apparently, she’s a loyal one that can never get enough. Not only does she watch the first airing of episodes, but she also watches two more times right after the first showing. Yep, three times per episode. The girl has got to have a packed TV schedule if she does any other shows that way.

After initially saying she likes everything about Game of Thrones, Jones breaks it down to specifics, saying the costumes, the writing, the actors, and the page-to-screen adaptation are great. In other words, she wasn’t lying when she said ‘everything.’

Interestingly enough, Jones’ passion for the series doesn’t extend to the books. She says she’s only read the first book and doesn’t plan on catching up with the novels until after she’s seen the action on the screen.

As far as actually appearing on Thrones, Jones hasn’t received any phone calls but she doesn’t beat around the bush,  saying, “I would kill to do something like the Game of Thrones.”

I think a little Lanie-style sass would liven things up in Westeros.
