Ashley Tisdale back UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Ashley Tisdale can’t be considered a ‘hellcat’ any longer since she’s moving back in with her parents in the new ABC comedy, Under Construction, although it’s probably safe to say the laughs will keep on coming.
Tisdale, who’s a familiar face to fans of Hellcats, High School Musical and The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody, has sold a “semi-autobiographical” project to ABC which she will co-executive produce and star in, according to Deadline. The new comedy features Tisdale moving back home with her parents while her dad works at transforming her recently purchased wreck of a house into an actual home. The script was provided by David Holden, while Jessica Rhoades, Tom Forman and Warren Littlefield co-executive produce.
I like Tisdale, but I have a feeling that a lot is going to ride on the chemistry between her and her on-screen parents, who haven’t been cast at this time. It seems like a lot of comedies and dramas are working with the person-moves-back-home or person-moves-to-a-new-town scenario so some truly awesome writing will also help to keep things from getting stale.
Worth watching? If everything lines up just right, Under Construction could probably deliver laughs on a weekly basis but it’s going to have to be really good in order to stand out among some of the other new comedies that are finding their way to the networks.
