BATMAN 3 DARK KNIGHT RISES Casts Rob Brown

Filming on Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises has been going on for a while, but it’s apparently never too late to get in on the bat-action as Rob Brown joins the latest Batman adventure.

Brown, who you may have caught in Finding Forrester, Coach Carter, or HBO’s Treme, joins the third movie in the Dark Knight franchise as filming would appear to be getting ready to wrap up. Variety revealed the latest bit of casting news but, as is usual with just about everything connected with TDKR, there’s no info available about the role Brown has been brought in for.

At this stage of the game, it would seem like all the heavy lifting has been taken care of, so I wouldn’t expect Brown to be a major player. However, you never can tell with the way Nolan does things, so I guess we won’t know for sure until someone in Nolan’s camp decides to make the info public.

Considering that Brown hasn’t really blazed a trail through Hollywood since his 2000 debut in Finding Forrester, even a small role could go a long way in opening doors to more big screen productions. Like the old saying goes – there are no small roles, only small actors.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012.
