Breaking of the Bat in Batman 3: Dark Knight Rises?

If you’re a Batman fan then you know about the possibilities for pain that are associated with Bane but there’s still a chance for spoilers ahead so don’t go any further if you don’t want to find out about a revealing video taken during the filming of The Dark Knight Rises.

The video, which is posted on YouTube, might not be the greatest TDKR behind-the-scenes clip we’ve seen but it does possibly reveal an important part of the storyline. You’ll have to full-screen the clip and keep an eagle-eye peeled around the 34-second mark but you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of Christian Bale as a limping Bruce Wayne when he gets out of the Lamborghini and uses a cane to get inside the building.

It’s safe to assume a messed-up leg isn’t the result of the final battle between Bane and Batman so this is clear evidence that the Dark Knight gets roughed up early on. I think that’s one of the things I really like about Nolan’s take on Batman. He emphasizes the fact that Bruce is an ordinary guy and takes his lumps on a regular basis in his pursuit of justice.
