CSI Recruits from X-FILES Department

Is Special Agent Monica Reyes reporting to duty on the set of CSI: Las Vegas? X-Philes will remember Reyes as the newcomer to later seasons of Chris Carter’s X-Files on Fox. Reyes was acted by Annabeth Gish. Gish has a new gig and we’d love to share the details.

She played Elizabeth Bartlet Westin on The West Wing and Eileen Caffee on the Showtime’s Brotherhood. Now Gish has her sights on Crime Scene Investigation. She will act as a character by the name of Laura. According to a report by TVline, Laura is “an old friend of the soon-to-depart Catherine.” The pair meet up after some 20 years of estrangement and then Catherine begins to suspect something isn’t quite right with Laura’s home life. You don’t think snoopy around in the affairs of Laura’s husband will get Willows into trouble do you?

They also shared info about another juicy new role. It seems the series is looking to cast a man as a romantic interest for Catherine. He’ll be an FBI type. Who can you imagine in that guest role? How about we give Willows a tough younger man with a sweet side?

Gish also recently acted as Anne Sullivan on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. Her role on CSI is described as a major, multi-episode arc.
