Frank Miller: Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke Back for SIN CITY 2?

Exotic dancer Nancy Callahan and tough-guy Marv might be back for more gritty action in Sin City 2 but that doesn’t necessarily mean Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke will be returning.
It seems like we’ve been waiting for a sequel ever since Sin City hit the big screen in 2005, and now it looks like the wait might be close to ending. According to our sister site in crime Criminal Complex, Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are back in a Sin City frame of mind and working on polishing the script for the sequel. In two video interviews with MTV during the San Diego Comic-Con, Miller even mentions that Sin City 2 might be ready to start filming in Spring 2012.
Sin City 2 will reportedly be an adaptation of A Dame to Kill For, along with a short story called Just Another Saturday Night and two new stories. Miller revealed that one of the new stories features Alba’s character, Nancy Callahan, “in order to tie things together and make it be more united with the first.” Callahan also appears in A Dame to Kill For.
While there’s been no official word of Alba being involved with the project, the fact that she recently teamed up with Rodriguez again for Spy Kids 4 could indicate that she wouldn’t have a problem returning for the Sin City sequel.
On the other hand, one of the stories features Marv, and Rourke has indicated that he’s not eager to return to his Sin City role. Will a nice paycheck change his mind or will Marv be re-cast?
