Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki SUPERNATURAL from Chicago

If you haven’t been to a Supernatural convention, then this video of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki speaking in Chicago should be enough motivation to convince you to go. The two stars of the long running CW series are great when it comes to embracing their fame. They often make appearances and do Q&As at the conventions, so if these two don’t think it’s too nerdy to attend a con then why should you?

Listening to Ackles and Padalecki tell tales of their adventures on set as Dean and Sam is both enlightening and hilarious. They’ve known each other for so long that they’ve developed a great back and forth. For a couple of guys on a horror show, dealing with monsters and guilt, they’re very funny. I’m actually a little touched they would take time out of their busy schedules to fly to Chicago all the way from Vancouver, Canada, just say hello to their loyal fans.

The video embedded below runs for about 30 minutes, and it is all solid gold material. A personal highlight was Ackles account of having sliced the palm of his hand open while handling a prop gun, specifically the Colt from the episode “Frontierland”. It’s a painful, but laugh inducing story. They also briefly touch upon the idea of remaking Supernatural with using their children as actors and Padalecki reveals he cannot tie a tie. Classic stuff and definitely worth watching, but you should seriously consider going there in person!
