Joss Whedon and Nathan Fillion Ado Shakespeare

One of my favorite of Shakespeare’s comedies is about to get a remake, Joss Whedon style! Much Ado About Nothing is a humorous look at men and women, love and hate. Making an adaptation of the classic is something director Joss Whedon has dreamed of doing for a very long time. Who knew?
In fact, Whedon has been working super hard on the amazing Marvel film The Avengers, which will unite a bunch of super heroes who have solo franchises and the stars who play them. Instead of taking a month off to vacation with his wife, Kai Cole, his darling suggested he finally make that dream a reality. Unbelievably, that’s exactly what he did!
According to EW, he took 12 days to film the project in Santa Monica! The endeavor was extremely hush hush. Actors like Nathan Fillion of Serenity, Amy Acker of Angel and Dollhouse, Alexis Denisof of Buffy, and Sean Maher of Firefly were on the secretive set. Whedon is producing the independent film using the micro studio he and his wife created, called Bellwether Pictures.
So, is this one a modern re-telling like Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet starring Leonardo DiCaprio? Well, Castle star Nathan Fillion Tweeted the link to a mysterious Ado themed website: Much Ado The Movie. No fair, actor Clark Gregg. You get to be in The Avengers AND Much Ado!?
