ONE TREE HILL, SUPERNATURAL, VAMPIRE DIARIES, CW Family on NETFLIX!

Vampire Diaries Gossip Girl One Tree Hill Supernatural Netflix CW

If you are a long time CW fan (meaning you never miss new episodes of Supernatural, One Tree Hill or The Vampire Diaries) then you should brace yourself for the biggest online distributions deal of the year. CBS and Warner Bros. Television Group announced a huge licensing agreement with Netflix, giving them access to more than 700 hours of content to stream online to whatever you like watching TV on; laptop, Xbox, you name it.

The deal includes all previous seasons of any CW series, past, present and future until the 2014-2015 season. The first chunk of shows to go up on Netflix will be The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Nikita. They should be available starting Oct. 15 with Supernatural and 90210 making the jump in January 2012. The CW’s new series, Ringer, Hart of Dixie, and The Secret Circle will be included in Fall 2012.

This is a huge step forward for Netflix and online distribution as a whole. With CW making a deal like this, it becomes easier to imagine other networks doing the same. It’s a much simpler way to get people to watch shows, as more and more people would rather stream things at their leisure than wait for a specific timeslot. And the price for membership seems like nothing when you factor in how much it would cost to buy each season of every show. Things are changing ladies and gentlemen. Are you ready for it?
