PARTY DOWN! Lizzy Caplan the NEW GIRL with Zooey Deschanel

Fox’s breakout hit, New Girl, is looking to party down with guest star Lizzy Caplan. For those unfamiliar, Caplan starred in the Starz series, Party Down, as a cater waiter. She’s moved on to bigger and better things (not entirely true to be perfectly honest; Party Down was an amazing show) now that she’s secured a three episode guest spot on the adorkable new comedy. Scenes with Caplan and series star, Zooey Deschanel, could potentially be too much for a normal brain to handle.

Caplan’s role on New Girl is that of Julia. She’s the rare breed of woman who is both incredibly intelligent (she has her Master’s degree in art history) and beyond cool. She’s the whole package and Nick (Jake Johnson) has his sights set on her. Too bad her combination of smarts and cool intimidates him to no end and it doesn’t help that they meet in an art gallery, a perfect spot for her to exercise her genius brain. Yet somehow Nick still manages to invite her to Schmidt’s birthday party. Again, too bad he’s worried his friends will reflect badly on him, so there’s that to add to his stress level. However, as TVLine puts it, “it may be someone else who’s in for a bigger awakening.”

Yeah, ok. What? Clearly they know something the rest of us don’t and it’s meant to be a surprise. So what and whom do we think this awakening applies to? I don’t know why, but I can’t shake the feelings someone’s going to come out of the closet. That just seems to logically fit.
