Sarah Silverman Joins THE LEAGUE Season 2

She’s funny, she’s sassy, and now Sarah Silverman is a part of The League? No, this isn’t a brand new super hero team. It’s a sitcom from co-creator Jeff Schaffer, the man who wrote a bunch of episodes of Seinfeld and directed a few for Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sounds like Schaffer and Silverman are a comic match made in heaven. The FX series is all about fantasy football.
The news is two actors are joining The League‘s regulars to share in Thanksgiving dinner. They are Sarah Silverman and Jeff Goldblum.
Silverman will portray playing Andre’s sister. Andre is acted by Paul Scheer. Goldblum will act as Ruxin’s dad. Ruxin is acted by Nick Kroll. “Sarah and Jeff are funny and fearless,” co-creators Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer said to EW. “And they didn’t flinch when we told them all of the crazy things they’d be doing with our cast. Fools!” That sounds exciting!
Other series regulars include Mark Duplass as Pete Eckhart, Stephen Rannazzisi as Kevin MacArthur, Jon Lajoie as Taco MacArthur and Katie Aselton as Jenny MacArthur.
Silverman recently completed a guest stint on The Good Wife for CBS. Since finishing with Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Goldblum has acted on Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV. Will you be tuning in to the Thanksgiving episode of The League? Are you an FX network fan?
