Scarlett Johansson Gets UNDER THE SKIN

Scarlett Johansson has shed the skintight leather of The Avengers’ Black Widow (there’s a mental image for you) to take on a role that’s truly out of this world in Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin.
The film, based on Michael Faber’s novel of the same name, features a brunette Johansson as an alien that hides out on Earth by taking the form of a “mesmerizing woman,” but this ET doesn’t come in peace. She stalks out-of-the-way locations to find unsuspecting prey, which she lures in with her sexuality.
Under the Skin would be just another film about hunting and killing the evil alien if the storyline stopped there, but things take an interesting turn when the alien discovers that she has spent so much time around humans that she’s starting to relate to them. That’s good news for the people around her, but not good for her because her new views don’t go over well with her own race.

Under the Skin, which Glazer co-wrote with Walter Campbell, could go into production in spring 2011.
