A Stark Bannermen for GAME OF THRONES

Robb Stark has found himself a bannerman for the second season of Game of Thrones, and thanks to George R. R. Martin the fans were able to figure out who will play said bannerman. As has been his custom for much of the casting, Martin posted a riddle for the Internet to decipher that would reveal both the character and actor involved in casting. Unlike most other times, there was some struggle to figure this riddle out. Most other times it became very clearly who it was about, but this time no one could properly agree.
In case you want to know what the riddle was, it went like this: “Vengeance is his. Frankenstein and Nessie are friends of his, but don’t say he’s never been human… but was he Irish or Eskimo? Born in Scotland, that we know. He’s been a fisherman, a minister, an inspector, and a malingerer. Down the slippery slope he slides, toward the kingdom of bones, but will he lose his head?”
Eventually, Martin declared that John Stahl would be joining the show as Lord Rickard Karstark. Someone in the comment did guess this combination, but they seemed mighty unsure of themselves. At the end of his post, Martin lets us all know that all major rolls for Season 2 have been filled and there are only small parts that still need to be cast. I’m taking that to mean everyone with a name from A Clash of Kings has been cast. It’s kind of a relief to be done with all the big parts.
