Saturday Night Live’s Taran Killam is THE COMMUNITY Choir

Saturday Night Live’s Taran Killam is making his way toward the Community set for some quality time at Greendale Community College. Who do you think this funnyman will be: a student or a teacher? And what subject will he be taking/teaching that causes him to bump in to the study group? I have answers to both of those questions just as soon as I warm up for my big solo.
Killam, who has had recurring roles on such television shows as Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother (where he’s engaged to series star, Cobie Smulders), will be playing Greendale’s choir director. Given Community’s love for big genre episodes, could it be possible the show is setting up for a full on musical episode? I for one don’t think so after the show did a musical opening this year, but then again did anyone really think they could pull off a sequel to the paintball episode, “Modern Warfare”? I’d say the coin is up in the air right now and we’ll just have to wait and see how it lands.
Besides the musical suspicions, it’s worth noting Killam’s episode just so happens to be this year’s Christmas themed episode. Community has shown a habit of topping itself when it comes to these holiday type ditties, but how do you out due stop-motion animation? Keep in mind, this is Community, a show that continues to surprise its audience with how amazing it can be.
