Depths of Stephen King’s BAG OF BONES Trailer

Stephen King Bag of Bones A&E

Do you know what’s creepier than a little girl staring at you under water? Nothing, and that’s why the Bag of Bones trailer is so unnerving. Children are without a doubt the creepiest of people. It’s a good move, since showing the star, Pierce Brosnan, wouldn’t have been frightening at all.

There’s not much to pick out in the trailer. We already know about the creepy water girl, whom I would assume drowned in the lake she’s in. Being a creepy, probably dead girl, she rises from the water and walks down a street. Adding to her aura of creep, her hair still flows as if it were suspended in water. She approaches a dirty window and writes in the grime “Beware the lake”. End of trailer!

Bag of Bones is based on the Stephen King novel of the same. Originally, it was planned to be a movie, but somewhere along the line a decision was made to turn it into a television mini series. It will air in four parts, each an hour in length. The gist of the series, because you won’t find it in the trailer, is Mike Noonan (Brosnan) is suffering from writer’s block after the death of his wife. Without getting to into the plot (and there is a lot of it) there’s a young girl in the midst of a custody battle and some supernatural phenomenon. The series premieres on A&E in December.
