A View from GAME OF THRONES Season 2

HBO’s very hot fantasy series Game of Thrones may have aired the finale of Season 1 on June 19th, but April of 2012 will mark the show’s triumphant return to television. You may recall Thrones making TV history when it was picked up for a second season after airing only a single episode! Well, today we have photos from Season 2. You don’t even have to fight for them.

In one picture, which comes from EW, there are some very uninviting looking soldiers all lined and looking ready to fight as the saga inspired by the works of George R. R. Martin continues. This is the front door of a fortress somewhere in the hills that the soldiers are protecting. Could there be dragons inside?

Another shot reveals an exotic seaside fortress, which just might be Fort Lovrijenac, right on the water at Dubrovnik. A certain Hound likely lurks therein.

The last depicts a horse covered in traveling gear. But wait, this photo holds a secret my friends. This is where the dragons are! Drogon is most likely resting comfortably in the basket on top of the horse. Viserion could just be riding on the left hand side of the horse. Rhaegal is probably in a similar basket that we cannot see, residing on the horse’s right.

Hey, there’s not a lot of action and excitement here, but you can bet Season 2 will hold plenty anyway. We do know Rattleshirt, the Lord of Bones is soon to appear in Season 2, as is Ygritte, Balon Greyjoy, Podrick Payne and Pyat Pree. When we got more shareable morsels, you’ll be the first to know.
