Gail O’Grady in HAWAII FIVE-0

Hawaii Five-0 continues adding to its impressive list of guest stars, with the latest addition being Gail O’Grady. O’Grady was most recently on the CW’s Hellcats before it was canceled. Now she’s off to Hawaii to film for her episode, and from the sounds of it her character will be going through a rollercoaster of emotions.

Though she doesn’t officially have a name, EW.com says O’Grady’s character is a woman whose husband is in coma and son is supposed to be dead. I say supposed because during the episode she discovers her son may be alive after all. There’s no indication how he allegedly died, so it’s hard to guess how or why he might have survived. The safe assumption is some kind of conspiracy; perhaps his death was faked. Again it’s hard to say one or way the other what could be happening, but that’s likely a good thing. It’s more fun to just sit down and watch these types of stories unfold without being spoiled.

As I mentioned, there’s been a great number of guest stars this season, including Tom Sizemore and Terry O’Quinn. Just yesterday, former Heroes star Greg Grunberg made his mark on the procedural. Grunberg is always a joy to have on screen, given his ultra friendly appearance. Having O’Grady on the show is just as much a privilege as any of the guest stars that have come before. Now if only her episode would come soon so I can figure out what happened to her son!
