GOSSIP GIRL – Blake Lively and Leighton Meester are All the Pretty Sources

Things are about to get dirty for Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester) on next Monday’s Gossip Girl, “All the Pretty Sources”. What’s supposed to be a beautiful celebration of Blair’s coming nuptials has a high chance of being spoiled by a certain jealous (and likely drunk) young man. Let the fun begin!

Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Dan (Penn Badgley) don’t receive invites to the bridal shower thrown by Serena (they both have mad feelings for Blair, in case you didn’t know), so they decide to spend the day together. Having not viewed the episode, I’m not sure what the chain of events are, but as you can see from the preview below, Dan winds up crashing the party. His goal is simple: what’s the most offensive thing he can do to ruin the party? I can think of a million things Dan could do that would be considered offensive. In fact, they’re so offensive you wouldn’t be able to show any of it on television. Well, maybe if this were an HBO show, but even then it might be pushing the envelope. But this is network TV, so he’ll have to do something offensive in the context of the occasion while still appropriate to be shown to audiences.

To make matters just a bit more complicated, Serena is ordered to plant false information about the shower to keep Blair in the dark regarding any details she might find out. Okay, that actually doesn’t sound that stressful. But I’m sure they’ll find a way to make that a headache to handle.
