Karen Gillan Cameo in DOCTOR WHO Christmas

The lovely Karen Gillan has news that is at once both pleasing and saddening. For months we’ve been wondering if she and Arthur Darville would be returning to play married couple Amy and Rory, the eleventh Doctor’s companions, for the upcoming Christmas special and at last we have an answer. The two will appear in “The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe” but their part will simply be a cameo, as the Doctor will be too busy having adventures with Madge (Claire Skinner) and her children.
Gillan also spoke of the upcoming seventh series and her part in it, according to DoctorWhoTV.co.uk. In regards to how much time she has left on the show, she has no idea when Amy will eventually leave the Doctor for good, but when it does happen she will miss the job terribly. I don’t think there’s a soul on this planet that wouldn’t greatly miss being on Doctor Who. Don’t even get me started on how much people like me would miss Karen Gillan! She’s probably the most adorable companion the Doctor has ever had! I would give my left hand to just to be able to spend the day with her.
So we know that Gillan will be in the seventh series, but we have no clue whether or not it will be her last, or if she’ll even be a regular cast member. She may just pop in to give her character a goodbye and then there will be a new companion for the Doctor. Only time will tell for sure.
