MAD MEN Darren Pettie Boards PAN AM

Many stars from AMC’s Mad Men have appeared on other shows, but it required a little bit of time travel to bring them to modern times. However, Darren Pettie won’t have to worry about dealing with the 21st century because his guest stint takes place on another show based in the 60’s, ABC’s Pan Am.
Pettie has had a recurring role on Mad Men and now he’ll be showing up for a little while on Pan Am in multiple appearances. According to EW.com, Pettie will portray airline captain Vince Broyles, who’s considered the “ultimate sky god.” He’s a former WWII pilot described as a “charmer with a dark side.” Because of his military service, he’s allowed to commandeer Pan Am aircraft for his own personal use, which sounds like a truly awesome perk. Yet another sign that I should have put more thought in the ol’ career path. The airways aren’t big enough for two kings of the sky so expect problems between Broyles and Captain Dean Lowrey (Mike Vogel) later this season.
In addition to the new recurring role on Pan Am, Pettie has also made frequent appearances on the CW’s Ringer as Detective Jimmy Kemper.
Pan Am takes to the skies on Sundays at 10/9c, but it looks like the show will be grounded soon because the freshman series was reportedly not picked up for a Season 2.
