Neil Gaiman Teases Appearance on THE SIMPSONS

Neil Gaiman, The Simpsons, Fox

Is author Neil Gaiman a fan of The Simpsons? He must be, because he is about to get animated for the long running Fox series. Hey, it isn’t even Halloween! And as if a Gaiman appearance wasn’t a big enough treat, his Facebook page is offering another goody. There’s a video snippet from his very funny guest appearance.

You can log on to Facebook and like The King of Fantasy on his page, or just give a click to watch the video clip. You’ll hear Gaiman feign an American accent. What I also find interesting is this chapter of The Simpsons seems to unfold as Homer and Bart join a Fantasy writing club. That’s awesome!

Gaiman’s appearance will come to a TV near you on November 20th. The author hoped his American accent would be funny, but worried that he had not quite gotten to the level of hilarity of say, Dick Van Dyke doing a Cockney accent. Gaiman has such a lovely, dark voice. Don’t change it for us, Neil!

Gaiman’s written works include The Sandman, Stardust, American Gods, Anansi Boys, Coraline, and The Graveyard Book and more, including short stories. He is a New York Times Best Selling writer. His fans are still waiting with baited breath for more news on an American Gods TV series.
