PIXAR’S BRAVE Trailer

It’s time to head to Scotland with a fiery redhead that’s determined to live life the way she sees fit in the new trailer for Brave, which has Pixar covering some ground that seems familiar, yet brand new, at the same time. Pixar has the type of reputation that would let you know immediately that Brave is a Pixar film, even if their name was nowhere to be found. The studio is that good at what they do, and they didn’t slack off with the animation skills when it came to the adaptation of this Scottish fairytale.
The storyline, however, seems to show an attempt at adding a new element or two. Fiery Merida wants to break free from the traditional and proper life she’s headed for and she’s determined to do whatever it takes to accomplish her dreams, but an ill-fated wish has disastrous consequences and Merida will have to find out how brave she really is to right the wrongs that she caused. Wait! Merida is the source of the problem? Yep. Fairy tale princesses are usually victims of bad luck or the nefarious schemes of someone else but this little princess has to stop what she started.
In addition to appreciating the great visuals, I like the fact that Pixar has added a generous amount of Scottish culture here… but that could just be because I like the accents so much.
What do you think of Brave? Will you be giving it a try?
