Scarlett Johansson and THE AVENGERS Posted Up

Yes, Marvel fans, The Avengers are coming to a movie experience near us thanks to Joss Whedon. I’m so excited, I could burst. Let’s take a look at the latest poster art, and more, for the super hero project.
Scarlett Johansson will reprise her Iron Man 2 character, The Black Widow. She’s not the only A-lister coming to the party. Jeremy Renner is Hawkeye, a Marvel archer not unlike DC’s Green Arrow. The man of my dreams, Mr. Chris Hemsworth, comes to The Avengers set as Thor. Chris Evans is Captain America. Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury, the eye-patch wearing director of SHIELD. You can bet he is doing the assembling of the various heroes.

While I do like the overall look of the posters and the way color is used to make each hero distinct, I have to say I’m not crazy yet about Mark Ruffalo’s vibe. The subtle green glow on his face will remind you he is playing Dr. Banner, the alter ego of The Incredible Hulk, but I don’t like his style here. The suit, the glasses, the hair do… He looks like a James bond villain.
More interesting is the fact that Loki, Thor’s wicked step-brother is included in the art. He is acted once again by Tom Hiddleston. Is he going to help the Avengers? Ah yes, and last, but never least, Robert Downey, Jr. is in the picture as Tony Stark, the one, the only, THE Iron Man.
