The name of the CHUCK Finale Revealed!

Many a Chuck fan has been down in the dumps knowing the show is on its final season. Some have even been in denial of the fact, hoping beyond reason for NBC to add a few more episodes to Season 5. I would say they are a foolish bunch. At this point prolonging the inevitable would only harm the show we all hold so dearly in our hearts. Let’s just be glad it was given this remarkable chance to wrap itself up. And to make it clear Episode 13 of this season will be the last, NBC has released the title for the episode.

TVLine reported the January 27^th episode will be titled “Chuck Versus the Goodbye”. All at once I’m wondering what that may mean in the context of the episode and deeply saddened that Chuck really is coming to a close. For now, let’s save our tears for the finale and ponder what we can expect on that day. “Versus the Goodbye” is absolutely something I imagined would be the final title. I would have been satisfied with something similar, like “Versus the End”, or “Versus the Finale”, but “Goodbye” is more personal. We are saying goodbye after all. This isn’t just the end of something; this is a farewell. We’ve invested a lot of time in Chuck and have been rewarded kindly. That final episode will likely feature a breaking up of Team Bartowski. I imagine the crew will give up the spy game and go their separate ways. If any show deserves a hero walking off into the sunset, it’s Chuck.
