THE WALKING DEAD Season 2 2012 Tease

That about does it for the first chunk of The Walking Dead’s second season. We won’t get any new episodes until February 12^th when “Nebraska” airs. That’s an 11-week period where no zombies will be on my television. Thankfully, AMC did not make us wait 11 weeks for the first promo for “Nebraska” and we can gleefully tease ourselves over what’s to come. Let’s have a look, shall we?

Shane’s growing insanity has reached a boiling point and completely segregated himself from Hershel’s hospitality. Because of Shane’s actions the whole group has to figure out some new plan, and if they follow Shane’s command that plan will be “take over the farm and kill anyone who attempts to stop us.” Rick being the eternally nice guy will do his best to keep things sane, but with Hershel finding alcohol and promptly meandering away things get… complicated. It looks like only Rick, Dale and Lori (possibly Glenn as well) will be interested in finding Hershel and setting things right. Unfortunately, Shane won’t make it easy as he and his followers (looking like Andrea and Daryl for certain) take up arms and pin Rick and Hershel in what looks to be the barn. My blood is pumping for a showdown between Shane and Rick, but I won’t hold my breath waiting for one or the other to be killed.

While mayhem appears to be promised, I couldn’t help but notice a random shot of Carol starring at Daryl’s necklace of zombie ears. Okay? Is that supposed to be important? Will she be terrified of his ear collection and no longer have feelings toward him? That’s just stupid. Maybe Carol should die if she’s going to be like that.
