The WU Enters Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED

Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained is getting a little Wu-Tang vibe added to it as musician-turned-actor RZA teams up with the director again in his homage to the spaghetti western.
RZA, who worked as the composer for Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1, is stepping in front of the camera this time as a violent slave that works on a Mississippi plantation. While some of the details on the role are unknown, Variety is reporting that his character, Thaddeus, will either share some screen time with slave-turned-bounty-hunter Django (Jamie Foxx) or his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) at some point during the film.
Other new members of Tarantino’s all-star cast include Anthony LaPaglia (Frasier, Without a Trace) as the head of a gang of greedy Australians and Misty Upham (Frozen River) as Minnie, a trading post-bar owner. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who’s been busy with The Dark Knight Rises, will also be appearing as LaPaglia’s brother.
In addition to his role in Django Unchained, RZA will also be showing up on the big screen in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and the just released A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas.
Tarantino’s twisted western, which touches on the usually taboo topics of slavery and racism, will blast its way into theaters on December 25, 2012, because nothing says Christmas like a blood-soaked tale of revenge.
