TRUE BLOOD Season 5 Werewolf Mom!

There’s a real mother of a werewolf headed to Season 5 of True Blood and that’s not meant as an insult because Dale Dickey has plans that might concern the death of her baby boy. Dickey, who won the 2011 Independent Spirit Award – Best Supporting Female for her performance in Winter’s Bone, is headed to Bon Temps, and that might be a cause for concern for Alcide because she’s going to be Marcus’ mother, Annie, who also happens to be a werewolf.

Because of Marcus’ position, Annie has a good bit of power and respect within the pack, and TVLine.com brings word that she has her mind set on performing a particular ritual, which may or may not have anything to do with getting revenge on Alcide for killing Marcus.

While we have to wait to find out the details on the ritual Annie has planned, we do know she won’t be going anywhere anytime soon because Annie’s going to be a recurring character through Season 5, which could prove that Alcide is in for a rough time, regardless of whether Annie’s ritual works or not.

The fifth season of True Blood starts production later this year and will be back on the air in Summer 2012.
