Californication Season 5 Teasers

Californication is getting primed and ready for the upcoming premiere of its fifth season by putting out some teasers for us to drool over. Showtime was kind enough to not only give us some teaser promo art, but a trailer as well. Season 5 will begin airing Sunday, Jan. 8 following freshman series House of Lies. From the looks of things, we are in for quite a season of typical Californication fun.

The promo art, featuring David Duchovny as Hank looking mighty satisfied as a woman’s hands explore his chest. But the real meat comes from the trailer. It looks like Hank will return to Los Angeles after spending three years in New York, but things have changed since he left LA. The trailer tells us if Hank wants to stay ahead of the game he’s going to have to learn some new tricks. The good news is Hank will be more famous than ever now that his bio-pic Fucking and Punching has been released. And how about his relationship with ex-girlfriend Karen and his daughter Becca? It looks like Karen has married a new man, and Becca had found herself a boy as well. Poor Hank is being replaced!

The trailer also promises heaps of sex and nudity, particularly from men, which is good. Keeping the genders balanced like that is wonderful. All this combined has me very excited for where the series is going. January 8 cannot come fast enough.
