DEXTER Season Finale Teaser

Another year has come and gone, and with it another season of Dexter. This year has been something of a disappointment, with Season 6 rather lacking in true twists and turns. Instead we ended up with a season that relied on a twist that could be seen coming from a mile away and character choices that, when examined more closely, made next to no sense. This has been a dark time for Dexter, ironically because it spent so much time having Dexter explore “the light.”

The teaser for “This is the Way the World Ends” does little to make me believe this season can be saved, but at least it can promise me with 100% certainty that it will be over. With Travis’ tableaus all complete, he appears to be at a loss when the world has not ended. After taking some time to pray to his god, he decides his next course of action should be to sacrifice Dexter’s son, Harrison. Dexter finds himself at the mercy of Travis, willingly doing as he’s told for fear of anything happening to his son. And there’s something about an eclipse, but I’m sure that has nothing to do with anything. It’s just a plot device people; move along.

The one plotline that has worked the entirety of the season has been Deb’s. It looks like her newfound “feelings” for Dexter will get some kind of address. I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of those two together. It’s technically not wrong as they’re not related, but it still has something taboo about it. However, that could be just the kind of thing that makes it work. We’ll just have to wait and see.
