Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Tease

Doctor Who The Eternity Clock

Eleven people have portrayed the time traveling Doctor in BBC’s Doctor Who and now you’ll get the chance to portray the Doctor (or River Song, if you prefer) in the new video game adventure, Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock.

Any Whovian that enjoys watching the adventures of Doctor Who (raises hand) will get a thrill in early 2012 when we get the opportunity to try our hand at being a Time Lord as Supermassive Games brings us Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock, the first of three planned Doctor Who games that will be out in 2012. The storyline for the game was written by the BBC Wales team and an extra sense of realism is added with the voices of Matt Smith (the Doctor) and Alex Kingston (River Song) included in the gameplay.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock, which reportedly contains photo-real graphics, television-quality scenes, and highly realistic characters, will let players see what it’s like to walk in the shoes of a Time Lord. Players will be confronted by a large number of possibilities and puzzles that change throughout the game because actions and changes made in one timeline will influence the events in all other timelines.

The teaser clip below doesn’t really provide anything exciting other than the Doctor and River Song giving a brief explanation of what the Eternity Clock is but it’s still exciting to know that a brand new Doctor Who adventure is on the way.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will be released for the PS3, PS Vita, and PC early next year.
