They might be big names now, having branched out from the Disney Channel to find success in other areas, but even Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez had to start somewhere. Take a trip back in time to see the video auditions that led the trio to the stardom they have today.

They’re so big now that you don’t even have to mention their last names to know who they are, but Miley, Demi, and Selena started off as ordinary kids with some pretty big dreams, and these videos from UK site, Daily Mail, show what the starlets were like when they first crossed paths with Disney.

Miley might be the one who owes the most to raw talent, with maybe a nod or two tossed in the direction of luck, because she was initially told she was too young and too small for the lead role in Hannah Montana, but perseverance and vocal talent eventually had the bigwigs changing their minds.

Demi had all the luck flowing her way when she showed up for auditions because she landed Sonny with a Chance and Camp Rock on the same day, which turned out be something that made both Demi and the Disney Channel very happy.

Meanwhile, Selena was casting a spell as the little girl that had dreams of making it big in both acting and singing. I guess it really does pay to have big dreams because the audition for Wizards of Waverly Place was just one small stepping stone on the path to superstardom.
