Jesse McCartney Crashes into CSI

CSI CBS

While Jesse McCartney is mostly known for his work as a singer and voice actor, he has had his fair share of live-action acting roles. He’s had various movie and television parts, most notably as Andy on the short-lived series, Greek. Now he’s been tapped to guest star on an episode of CSI, specifically during Episode 14, “Seeing Red”. McCartney’s role will see him alongside Nick (George Eads) as temporary best friends looking to solve a mystery. They’re almost like the Hardy Boys, only more tolerable.

As reported by CSI Files, McCartney is playing Wes, a recent college graduate involved in a car crash after he loses consciousness while behind the wheel. At some undetermined point, Wes comes to meet Nick and the two quickly form a bond and seek to discover what caused the crash. I thought the answer was pretty simple, but I guess this means Wes’s fainting was no coincidence; someone drugged him or knocked him out. Any comments and/or theories about the situation are always welcome, so go nuts.

While having McCartney on the show is pretty monumental, the big draw to this February 15 episode is the arrival of Elisabeth Shue. Shue plays the new character Julie “Finn” Finlay who will be replacing Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) as the series’ leading lady. Finn will be an interesting character to follow, as she is fresh out of anger management. Needless to say, she has a past just waiting to be uncovered.
