Justin Bieber in a Marky Mark Joint?

What does musical trendsetter Justin Bieber have in common with Mark Wahlberg? Pretty soon they could be attached to the same project.

According to MTV news, Mr. Marky Mark believes The Bieb has got the right stuff. Speaking of the right stuff, Wahlberg is no stranger to that certain something either. Aside from being a charismatic, popular and pretty macho actor, he’s a keen businessman and has really poured himself into making certain creative projects a reality. Entourage and The Fighter are two examples. So, when he puts his focus on something, it just could be a success. What’s next? A team up with Bieber, of course.

Boomtron reported on the Contraband star’s decision previously, when he named Justin Bieber as a possible star for Wahlberg’s basketball-themed drama. This type of film is something with which Wahlberg is intimately familiar, too. Remember The Basketball Diaries?

Wahlberg describes his film, still coming together in it’s early stages as kind of like The Color of Money. There will be an old guy mentoring a younger fellow. Even though the script is in development now, and Wahlberg credits his “intuition” for making a good choice with giving the lead role to Bieber, he also is wise enough to note that the un-seasoned actor may not work out. You can bet he’ll have a back up plan, although the singer has worked in Never Say Never and a few episodes of CSI.
