Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson, or Evan Rachel Wood in LES MISERABLES?

Who wouldn’t kill for the chance to play Eponine in a brand new Les Miserables film? The character is so romantically tragic. Might very lovely Hollywood ladies Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson, or Evan Rachel Wood have to duke it out? How would you decide between them?
The NY Post delivered the latest update regarding Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper’s planned big screen adaptation of Les Mis. All four actors have reportedly already auditioned for the role of Eponine!
If you are less familiar with the Victor Hugo work or the popular musical, Eponine is the daughter of the innkeepers who take care of Cosette on behalf of Fantine. When the two girls grow up, Marius falls for Cosette though it is Eponine who has loved him all along. Eponine ultimately sacrifices her life for the man she cannot have.
Glee star Lea Michele has an edge on the other contenders. She acted as Young Cosette on Broadway. How fun would it be to have been Cosette and now attempt the character of Eponine?
Scarlett Johansson is also a great singer in her own right, though many people may not be familiar with her album release. I think I’d like to see her in the role. It is hard to imagine Johansson not getting her man. As for Taylor Swift and Evan Rachel Wood, wouldn’t you like to see them as brunettes for the role? I have always pictured Eponine as having dark hair and Cosette as being blonde.
Hooper recently directed the smashing drama, The King’s Speech. The rest of his cast for Les Mis already include Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, My Week with Marilyn‘s Eddie Redmayne and Speech‘s Geoffrey Rush. My goodness, that’s half of Hollywood right there! The film is a Working Title and Universal production. When we learn the juicy results, you will, too!
