Peter Pan visits Jake and the Never Land Pirates on Disney Channel
It seems that Peter Pan has lost his shadow again and it’s up to Jake and his pirate buddies to help Peter find it on Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns, Disney Junior’s first primetime special presentation of the #1-rated series.
Season 2 of Jake and the Never Land Pirates debuts on Monday, February 20, but fans of the show don’t have to wait that long for their Pirate Island fix because Jake, Izzy, Cubby and Skully will have a brand-new adventure with the boy who never grew when Peter Pan visits Never Land on Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns, which airs on Monday, February 13 from 7:00-8:00 p.m., ET/PT. Adam Wylie, who has previously used his voice talents for shows like Ben 10: Alien Force and Phineas and Ferb, voices the role of Peter Pan.
I don’t have kids so Disney Junior isn’t exactly on my ‘must-watch’ list but Jake and the Never Land Pirates is apparently making all the right moves because it ranks as 2011′s #1 series launch in the demographic (kids age 2-5) and cable TV’s #1 series among Boys 2-5. While the pirates always seemed to be the bad guys in the adventures of Pan, these pirate kids are the heroes. However, Captain Hook and Smee are still around to make sure people don’t start thinking that all pirates are nice.
To get everyone warmed up for the primetime special, DisneyJunior.com/PeterPan will debut ‘Jake’s Countdown to Peter Pan’ and a new two-part game called ‘Shadow Shenanigans’ on February 6.
