Scarlett Johansson, Comrade – AVENGERS Trailer!
Scarlett Johansson speaking Russian while wearing tight leather might seem like a sweet dream to some but there’s no need to sleep to make it happen in the Russian version of the trailer for Marvel’s The Avengers.
Although the dialogue is a waste of bandwidth (unless you speak Russian), the new Avengers trailer does offer up a few new scenes that we haven’t seen before… and can anyone really get tired of seeing Loki take a cane across some poor guy’s face? I’m assuming it’s a cane; possibly a belt. It flashes by pretty quick.
If, like me, you’ve watched the U.S. version of the trailer about a bazillion times, you don’t really need the actual English voice track to know what’s going on. Is there any Marvel fan out there that isn’t familiar with the already-famous scene of Steve Rogers saying, “Big man in a suit of armor. Take that away, what are you ?” and Tony Stark replying with a perfectly straight face, “Genius , billionaire , playboy , philanthropist.”
Of course, if RDJ/Tony Stark banter is your thing, then there’s my new personal favorite where Loki announces that he has an army and Stark responds by saying they have a Hulk. Speaking of the big, green guy, it sure would be nice to have another U.S. trailer come out that features more of Bruce Banner’s raging alter-ego.
The Avengers hits theaters on May 4, 2012.
