Sherlock Series 2 Promos

Sherlock and John Watson will soon be on the case again with the crime-solving duo taking on some brand new mysteries and Sherlock attempts to unlock the greatest riddle of all when love enters the picture. Check out the new promo pics to see what Sherlock Series 2 has in store for you.

The new promotional photos shared on Blogtor Who do a great job of capturing the mystery of the upcoming season, with the photo at the top of this post being my favorite. Can you think of an image that does a better job of revealing the spirit of the show? The London fog obscures any sense of location, letting us focus on Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman’s John Watson, but the duo isn’t simply floating in an empty void because the fog reveals clues of the future. In addition to seeing the faces of Moriarty and Sherlock’s potential lady love, Irene Adler, we’re given cryptic clues that hint of Adler being “the woman,” as well as a peek at the titles of the upcoming shows, which include A Scandal In Belgravia, The Hounds Of Baskerville and The Reichenbach Fall.

The remaining images give us another look at Sherlock and Watson, along with two different views of Irene Adler.

Sherlock Series 2 airs January 1, 2012 at 8:10PM with the first of three 90-minute films, A Scandal in Belgravia.
