TRUE BLOOD SEASON 5 – SVU Boss on the Case?

Now that he’s done with Law & Order: SVU, HBO has their eyes set on Chris Meloni to appear in a big role for True Blood’s fifth season, to air next summer. Meloni unexpectedly quit SVU, so to take another TV job so soon is surprising. While he does have a top-secret part in Zack Snyder’s Superman flick, Man of Steel, I figured he would exclusively do movies for a while. If he does take the part, whom would he be playing? A big role could be just about anything, especially in a crazy show like True Blood.

According to TVLine, HBO was tight lipped about just whom they want Meloni to play, but the biggest rumor is he’s be an incredibly powerful vampire, because there weren’t enough of those already. If that is the direction they choose to go, fine. I may not think it’s terribly exciting, but it’s too early to be judgmental, so shame on me. They could have a great plan in place. With Russell escaping his concrete tomb in the Season 4 finale, perhaps Meloni will play an ally of his.

I’m assuming of course that Meloni’s role will be a villainous one. He could play a new character with a heart of gold for all I know. It’s important to keep your mind open to such possibilities.
