Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl to Kick Ass

If you’ve been less than enthusiastic for Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl, then I just might have news for you that will make the show seem kick ass. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Clarke Duke will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of the Fox series, and if you’re like me this will have you beyond exited. Duke is easily one of the funniest young actors out there, just check out his work in Greek, Kick-Ass, Sex Drive or Hot Tub Time Machine if you don’t believe me.

Duke will appear in Episode 13 as Cliff according to TVLine, an unpaid intern working for Nick’s love interest, Julia (Lizzy Caplan). The two men will become quite close, but Nick kind of ruins everything when he inadvertently inspires Cliff to give up on his dreams of becoming a lawyer, which if you watch the show you’ll know is something Nick himself did. You’ve got to be careful when you talk to impressionable people who just want to be your friend. They tend to think you know best, even when you really don’t. And Nick doesn’t know much about anything.

New Girl still has a couple of episodes before it goes on its winter hiatus. The last episode we’ll get, titled “The 23rd” for some reason, will air Dec. 13. With any luck it will be an episode worth remembering to keep viewers interested so they’ll stick around for Duke’s episode. Seriously, that guy is a genius at delivering funny lines.
