A hand for Tyrion Lannister and the GAME OF THRONES Season 2 Trailer

By now we should all be familiar with one very important aspect of HBO’s Game of Thrones: Tyrion Lannister is hands down the best character in the series. The role is so great, and the actor playing it, Peter Dinklage (who scored an Emmy for his performance, by the way), is so fantastic, that all you need to do is show his face in a trailer to get everyone excited and riled up. You can absolutely tell HBO was playing off Tyrion and Dinklage’s popularity when they made the latest trailer for Season 2. We open up with Lord Varys speaking to someone about a scenario. It’s not entirely clear if he’s relaying the events of the season or if it’s simply a parable of sorts, but the people he describe do fit nicely with the characters of Stannis Baratheon, Melisandre, and Tywin Lannister. From this point on we see shots of all the most important characters: Sandor Clegane, Catelyn Stark, Petyr Baelish, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Joffrey Baratheon, Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark, Robb Stark, Jamie Lannister, and then finally… Tyrion Lannister!

We see that Varys has been speaking to Tyrion as he tells him “A small man can cast a very large shadow.” Tyrion cannot help but to smile at the thought of himself in a position of power. I hope this means he will be making some big moves during the upcoming season, which premieres April 1^st.
