Amanda Seyfried as Porn Icon Lovelace

We’ve seen her do fairy tales, drama, comedy, and sci-fi, but now Amanda Seyfried is getting ready to enter the skin-flick trade as porn queen Linda Lovelace.

Linda Boreman, known throughout the world as Linda Lovelace, was the object of desire for many men in the 1970’s after the movie Deep Throat came out, but she later came forward and revealed that becoming one of the leading ladies of the porn industry wasn’t her intention. Instead, she revealed that husband Chuck Traynor (played in the film by Peter Sarsgaard) forced her into the adult industry with threats and beatings.

This first official photo for the movie, Lovelace, from EW.com, featuring Seyfried and Sarsgaard in character, seems to contradict that revelation but this could be a look at the couple during happier times.

As far as looks go, the promo image shows that the time period has been captured perfectly, from the vintage car the ‘happy’ couple is sitting in to Sarsgaard’s retro ‘stache and sideburns, which would probably get someone beat up these days if they tried that particular fashion statement.

Lovelace, which also stars Demi Moore, Adam Brody, Eric Roberts, Sharon Stone, and James Franco as Hugh Hefner, is currently in production. A release date hasn’t been set yet.
