A Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez New Years Eve

Two celebrities began the New Year practically side by side as they brought entertainment to the masses. We’re talking about young singers Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. The BFFs were last seen on MTV’s “NYE in NYC” special broadcast. If you tuned in, then you watched them both on Times Square and out and about the MTV studios in New York City. From there both lovely ladies performed musical numbers, but Lovato also wore the hat of hostess. She led the evening with a little help from Teen Wolf actor, Tyler Posey. When Selena Gomez was ready to rock, she took the MTV studio stage and shared a medley of tracks from her latest studio album, which is titled “When the Sun Goes Down”. Yes, her band, the Scene, was there to back her up. She also sang, in its entirety, “Love You Like a Love Song” and her latest single, “Hit the Lights”. As you can bet, it was that last one that really brought a beat and made folks move.

Lovato sang “Give Your Heart a Break”, which comes from the album, “Unbroken”. Rappers J. Cole and Mac Miller also gave performances, singing “Work Out” and “Party on 5th Ave”, respectively. Jason Derulo also joined in the festivities by delivering “It Girl” and “Don’t Wanna Go Home”. And yes, it was all delivered Live. Do you think they rang in 2012 with the right stuff? I will say that both ladies had a dynamite 2011.
