FRINGE Friday the 13 Return Tease

It has been a long time since we were treated to a new episode of Fringe, a series that’s been on a slippery slope for awhile yet has amazingly survived as long as it has in a Friday night time slot. It’s absolutely appropriate that Fringe would return from its hiatus on Friday, January 13. The first unlucky day of 2012 is perfect for a show that’s on the bubble of cancellation. And the first episode back, “Back to Where You’ve Never Been,” looks like it may be the most exciting episode of the season. Just check out these shmexy images from Fox!

We haven’t had a chance to spend any time with Walternate so far in Season 4, but that is all about to change. Peter is still looking to return to his original timeline and to do so he plans to seek out the help of Walternate. We’ll get to see everybody and their alternate versions in the episode, which is always a positive for a Fringe episode. You can’t tell from the images, but if you caught the video promo for the episode then you already know Agent Lee will come face to face with his alternate for the first time. It looks like it’s going to be an amazingly wild ride for everyone involved.

I’m getting the feeling from these images, and all the other promotional material I’ve seen, that Fringe is heading toward something sizably epic. I’m not sure what that quite is (though I have suspicions), but I’m stoked to see what will happen.
