GAME OF THRONES Season 2 – We Know When Winter Is Coming Back

Game of Thrones HBO

After months upon months of waiting, at last we have a solid premiere date for Game of Thrones’ second season, so we can now properly countdown the days until men and women fight over an Iron Throne and dread the coming winter. And that date is… drum roll please… April 1st! Thankfully, Game of Thrones airs at night and thus cannot fall victim to any April Fools pranks. It feels good to finally know when we’ll be able to travel back the land of Westeros after waiting so long, with only random casting announcements to tide us over. With a firm date it really feels like Season 2 is coming.

As we already know, Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes, just like the first season. It will attempt to follow the novel, A Clash of Kings, as closely as possible, but it is inevitable for changes to be made when translating a book to the screen. However, if the second season is as good as the first then the accuracy will be quite impressive. Of course, if you’ve never read any of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series then how accurate it is won’t matter in the slightest. You’re like me; invested in a good medieval story unlike anything that’s been seen on television before.

What else is there to say really? You certainly don’t need me to remind you how awesome Game of Thrones is. You’ll tune in on April 1st and your expectations will be blown out of the water.
