Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Client List Expands

One Lifetime Network TV movie is about to become a network series. It was the summer of 2010 that saw the debut of The Client List. The made for TV drama starred Jennifer Love Hewitt as a former Texas beauty queen, mother of three, and unemployed masseuse. She’s stuck between a rock and a hard place as her athlete husband is injured and cannot work. She takes a job at a massage parlor, only to discover the masseuses there are really high priced prostitutes. As her situation gets more desperate, things quickly spiral out of control.

The film earned former Ghost Whisperer, Hewitt, a Golden Globe nom. Now, sometime this year, the show the film has inspired will kick off with 10 episodes and Deadline has announced that Hewitt has some company on the set. Cybill Shepherd has signed the dotted line to act as Hewitt’s mom. She, too, is reprising her role from the Lifetime film. This is Cybill’s first regular, recurring series part in over ten years.

Hewitt plays Riley and Sheperd is Lynette. At this point Riley has been abandoned by her husband and is left in charge of the massage parlor, called The Rub. Shepherd has appeared recently on USA’s Psych, Showtime’s The L Word and ABC’s Eastwick.
