When you are as well known a star as Katherine Heigl, and you tease about returning to as beloved a show as Grey’s Anatomy, there is going to be talk, excitement and plenty of questions. Before speculation gets entirely out of hand, we have a clarification directly from the horse’s mouth. And what a lovely horse she’d be, too, not that I’d really compare her to a beast.
Is Doctor Izzie really making her come back? Well, no, not exactly.
We reported right here on Boomtron that Heigl would love to return and that she’d really like to know whatever happened to Izzie. Time has passed, after all. But the One for the Money actress told TV Line that no one from the show has officially contacted her yet. This isn’t even something on the horizon for the show’s writers as far as we know. It all started simply with Heigl expressing how nice it might be to return. So there you have it. There was a lot of fuss for nothing. But if we hear the buzz has caused some churning in the mind’s of the show runners, you will be the first to know!
In fact, Heigl knows plenty about adoption because of her real life adventure and further suggested it would be an awesome storyline if Izzie were adopting, too.
