Lea Michele and Seniors – no GLEE Spin

Word has come down from Fox Mountain regarding the potential for a Glee spinoff featuring the seniors who will be graduating at the end of the current season, such as Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith and Kurt (Chris Colfer). Instead, any cast members who decide to return for the fourth season will have to fit in to the narrative in new way. Unfortunately, Fox entertainment president, Kevin Reilly, was tight lipped regarding what the plans are for the graduated characters.

Reilly, as reported by TVLine, spoke at the Television Critics Association winter tour on Sunday where he stamped out the rumors of a spinoff taking place in New York. He mentioned Glee creator Ryan Murphy and the writers had come up with “a really cool idea” to explore next season. He then promptly refused to give up any more, though he made a point to say details should begin trickling out in the spring, near the end of the third season.

When asked about who would be back, he could only say for sure that Lea Michele would return and in the best case scenario they would have all their main cast members back for the next season.
