Mad Men Season 5 in March?
Though I have yet to hear the official confirmation from the wonderful AMC network, the dashing Mr. Jon Hamm, star of Mad Men, has let it slip that he’s preparing for Mad Men, Season 5. In fact, he has a date on his mind and we’ll share it with you right now.
Hamm, actor extraordinaire, took part in Doug Benson’s podcast, Doug Loves Movies, on last Friday, according to Criminal Complex. He said that his historical drama would return to a TV screen near you, come March 25th. Yes, that’s a Sunday!
Hamm probably knows what he’s talking about. Aside from acting in Mad Men, he directed the Season 5 premiere! Go, Jon!
The Season 4 finale aired October 17th. The only clues we’ve heard as to the plot of Season 5, is that things could get dangerous. Rumor has it that Season 5′s fifth episode is titled “Signal 30″. We think that was the name of a 1959 sort of public service film, where shocking and disturbing images of traffic accident victims were used to warn about the dangers of unsafe driving. Hmm.
The 40-year old star of Mad Men has recently appeared in Howl, Sucker Punch and Bridesmaids. You may have seen him in December when Conan O’Brien participated in his office Secret Santa festivities and drew the name of his talent coordinator, Ashley Olivia. As her gift, O’Brien pretended to offer a framed photo of Jon Hamm, Olivia’s favorite celebrity, but at the last moment, had Hamm appear to sign the photograph. In the video posted to O’Brien’s website, Hamm gave Olivia a hug and a bottle of vitamins. Wow!
Hamm and his girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt also appeared at the 50th anniversary celebration for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
