Nathan Fillion and CASTLE Drop Dead for Sweeps

February sweeps is a big time for television shows everywhere as they seek to throw bigger episodes at their audiences in hopes of attracting more viewers, and this year Castle is bringing in Drop Dead Diva’s Josh Stamberg for an important arc that month. And he won’t be the only guest star to find himself working along side Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic. Former Chicago Code star, Jennifer Beals, has been tapped to play a “smart, commanding, and sexy” CIA agent

According to TVLine, Beals and Stamberg will appear in Castle’s annual two-parter wherein Beals’ character is helping Castle (Fillion) and Beckett (Katic) search for a rogue operative causing all kinds of trouble (I’m assuming. For all I know “rogue” could mean he started going in to work at 10 instead of 9). Stamberg comes in as “an intelligence officer that ends up being very important to the case.” Maybe he’s the one who noticed the rogue coming in to work an hour late everyday and is needed as a witness. This is just me spitballing here. Given the more serious nature of this series, it’s more likely they’re dealing with someone much more serious than a tardy employee.

Castle makes its triumphant return to television after it’s holiday break next Monday, Jan. 9. The duo of Castle and Beckett will be investigating the death of a ladies’ man. Perhaps it will serve as a cautionary tale for any womanizers out there. Be sure to tune in and mark your calendars for the February sweeps episodes!
